1. What types of services does Blair & Associates offer?

2. What is the difference between an "accountant" and a CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
A CPA has to pass a rigorous three day exam on a wide range of business, tax, financial and personal issues. A CPA is also bound by a Code of Ethics, in which the client's interest and trust is the first priority. A CPA must also comply with all state and federal licensing requirements. A CPA is required to take a minimum of 80 credit hours of continuing professional education every two years. CPA's are also subject to peer review. Peer review is an evaluation of one's professional practices by a professional in the industry.  The requirements demanded of a CPA serves to ensure the quality of his/her work. 
An accountant has no licensing requirements and no continuing education requirements.

3. How do you charge for your services?
Blair & Associates basically charges by the hours worked. Most accounting engagements are estimated for how many hours it will take to complete the agreed upon tasks during the year. This annual fee amount is then split into either monthly or quarterly payments. For special projects and tax returns a flat or stated fee is normal. All fees are communicated to the client prior to work being started.

4. Do you charge for the initial consultation?
Blair & Associates allows each new prospective client a FREE 30 minute initial consultation. This consultation can be used to get to know the client and for the client to understand how Blair & Associates can benefit their business and them personally.

5. What is the minimum size business that Blair & Associates will work with?
Blair & Associates will provide services to any size business or individual in a very cost effective manner. Blair & Associates can train almost anyone to perform the most tedious tasks in order for the professional staff to work on the more technical issues.
